Silica braided sleeving retains its strength and flexibility at a continuous operating temperature of 1800°F (982°C). Silica is a high performance insulation that offers protection at these continuous high temperatures and remains soft and flexible through repeated exposures.
Silica sleeving is a perfect insulation for critical cooling lines, electrical leads, instrumentation wire and many other industrial applications. The insulated sleeve can be used in a wide range of environments and thermal applications. It is resistant to oxidation and most industrial chemicals, with the exception of hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis.
