Nutec™ Supermag is a high temperature low bio-persistence fiber that utilizes a unique spinning technology to create a special fiber with superior thermal and mechanical properties. This fibre is made from a blend of calcium, silica and magnesium and can be exposed to temperatures up to 2018 oF (1103 oC), which makes it ideal for a wide variety of applications such as refractory linings, thermal insulation, and fire protection. Supermag boasts low thermal conductivity and heat storage, high tensile strength and excellent corrosion resistance.
